WELCOME

This Is A Sacred Place (TIASP) is a community eco-arts project designed to highlight the links between aesthetics, place, community, and the ecological imperative for humanity to reclaime the earth as our sacred home.
Everyone is Welcome.

Putting a sticker, a shrine, a sign somewhere (anywhere) draws attention to that place.
By paying attention we make that place special, perhaps we can re-sanctify our world.
Where are your Sacred Places?
A weed growing up through the concrete?
A special tree?
Your back yard?
The beach?
A place where something special happened?
A neglected wild place under a bridge?

If you mark them with a sticker, a sign, a shrine
Others will take notice of the Special places all around
Photograph these places and share them
Share your stories poems and thoughts
Connect with others who care about the the environment.
Share links and comments. Make this a Sacred Space.

I have always been amazed how a seed can push through concrete.
I feel blessed to live and work in Northern California.
Every step I take I try to remember the indigenous people of this area.
And I try to remember all the other beings that live here with me.
